As of late I have become enthralled with films of the late thirties to mide forties, particularly those which fall under the classification of noir. I did a series of these portraits in an attemp to capture a bit of the essence of the noir "look".

The lighting is a desk lamp with a outdoor bulb in the socket. This arrangement did not last long, the bulb burnt out very soon afterward.
